Known for her beautiful and moving performances, Stefina is a highly skilled and accomplished musician. As a pianist, her passion lies in storytelling and expressive interpretation that resonates with her audience.
Stefina has performed in Australia, USA, Japan, Thailand, and Indonesia. At the age of 16, Stefina first performed as a soloist with Surabaya Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Solomon Tong, performing Mendelssohn’s Piano Concerto No.1 in G minor. She also worked with conductor Michael B. Mulyadi and Universitas Pelita Harapan Symphony Orchestra, performing Schumann’s Piano Concerto in A Minor, Op. 54.
To broaden her musical experience, Stefina has participated in various international music festivals, such as Australian String Academy, Euro Music Festival, where she learned from the late Prof. Karl-Heinz Kämmerling. She also studied with Cyprien Katsaris during the Kirishima International Music Festival. Stefina had taken masterclasses from Dr. Johannes S. Nugroho, Prof. Luke Gillespie, Tamás Ungár, Klára Würtz, Ananda Sukarlan, Sam Haywood, and Prof. Scott McBride Smith.
Stefina earned her Bachelor’s degree in classical piano performance from Universitas Pelita Harapan, where she studied with Dr. Mario S. Santoso and Dr. Kazuha Nakahara. She received her Master’s degree with summa cum laude and completed the Advanced Music Studies program at Carnegie Mellon University, under the tutelage of Prof. Sergey Schepkin. Her academic achievement led her to be selected as a member of Chapter Theta Xi of Pi Kappa Lambda – National Music Honor Society.
Stefina previously served as a piano instructor at the Carnegie Mellon University Preparatory School of Music. Currently, Stefina is a faculty member at Fermata Music School (Jakarta, Indonesia). With her experience as a lecturer at Universitas Pelita Harapan Conservatory of Music (2017-2020), Stefina has conducted workshops and masterclasses at Musicians in The Making (California, USA), Pianist with Love School of Music and Srinakharinwirot University (Bangkok, Thailand), and The Pianology (Singapore).
