Nadya Janitra

Nadya Janitra has both her Bachelor (2011) and Master Degree (2013) from Den Haag Royal Conservatoire, under the guidance of Ellen Corver. Before pursuing her studies in the Netherlands, Nadya debuted her first piano solo recital at 16 years old in Erasmus Huis Jakarta. Known for her musical talent, Nadya has always got the highest mark on each examination she did for 11 consecutive years in Yayasan Pendidikan Musik (YPM). She then graduated with “YPM Artist Award” in 2004 under the guidance of Aisha Adriana Pletscher. After graduating from Netherlands, she performed many solo recitals in various cities and countries, such as Jakarta, Bali, Surabaya, Jogjakarta, Makassar, Medan, Macau and Den Haag.

As an experienced accompanist and chamber music player, she performed various concerts together with other singers, pianists, percussionists; brass, woodwind and string players. She created Faure Piano Trio when she was in Netherlands. Nadya was appointed as a pianist to collaborate with Saxophone Quartet to perform concert tour around the Netherlands in 2010. She also joined Ensemble Royaal in Netherlands, conducted by Jurjen Hempel and Lucas Vis. In 2015, she was invited as one of the soloists to play with Twilite Orchestra conducted by a well-known Indonesian conductor, Addie MS.

Finding her passion in piano teaching, she started her teaching career when she was 17 years old in YPM. She got her Minor Degree in teaching from Den Haag Royal Conservatoire in 2011. In 2014, she was accepted as a Piano Lecturer in Universitas Pelita Harapan until now, Nadya has given masterclasses in many cities, including Jakarta, Jogjakarta, Surabaya, Bali, Makassar and Macau. Her students have won many piano competitions in both National and International events. Successfully guiding her students with devotion, so many of her students got accepted in Conservatories overseas, such as Singapore, Malaysia, Spain, the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Russia, and the United States of America.

Nadya has been actively invited in many national piano competitions in Indonesia, where the venues are held in Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Bali, Jogjakarta, Surabaya, Palembang and Medan. In 2022, she was invited as a jury for Indonesian Steinway Youth Piano Competition.

As the founder of European Music Curriculum (EMC), Nadya is now academically leading 14 music schools that are located in Jabodetabek. Together with Gita Bayurati, Nadya is actively teaching students and coaching piano teachers in EMC. By sharing her value, idealism, and passion in music education she hopes to inspire and develop the next generation in Indonesia.
