Since 2013 Euroasia has organized competitions to celebrate and identify young talent at various stages of their musical development on various instruments. These events provide an invaluable platform for young musicians to perform and compete at a high level, giving them experience and exposure that will better equip them for future undertakings in their musical journey.
In the recent years there has been a healthy growth of festivals, competitions and other events, though many of these tended to happen in or around Kuala Lumpur. After numerous requests and suggestions from musicians and teachers in Sarawak, Euroasia decided it is time for Kuching to have its own music festival as well, thus introducing the 1st Sarawak Piano Festival in 2016. With this festival, Euroasia’s intention and hope is that this is just the beginning, and that Euroasia can gradually expand into other parts of Malaysia by bringing similar festivals and competitions to these locations.
In 2017, in addition to the Sarawak Piano Festival, Euroasia collaborated with the Johor Society for the Performing Arts (JSPA) and the Malaysian Youth Orchestra Foundation (MYOF) to present two additional piano festivals: the Johor Bahru Piano Festival and Kuala Lumpur Piano Festival. The response to these piano festivals has been most encouraging and showcased a high level of performance. In 2018, we launched three more festivals: the Penang Piano Festival in collaboration with MYOF, and the Kuantan and Negeri Sembilan Piano Festivals.
