Ju-youn Shin is a collaborative pianist in vocal and instrumental fields, contemporary music and also a concert organizer. She graduated from Yewon middle school, Seoul Arts high school and Ewha Women’s University in South Korea. After graduation she moved to the Netherlands and finished bachelor’s and master’s degree at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague (Koninklijk Conservatorium). While she studied, she completed Ligety Academy which is a highly renowned contemporary music academy. She performed with many conductors and composers such as Louis Andriessen, Steve Reich and James MacMillan. After came back to South Korea, she became a collaborative pianist and teacher. She has been a coach for vocal student at Seoul National University, Ewha Women’s University and Sejong University. Since 2022, she has been producing concerts as a project manager of Friends of Music, a chamber music society.
