Inaugurated in 2021, ๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐๐๐๐ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ฒ is awarded to the highest scoring participant from Negeri Sembilan* from each of the Euroasia organised competitions. All participants from Negeri Sembilan are automatically considered for the prize. Established in 2021, in memory of the late Yap Siong Cheng and Suzie Yap, ๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฝ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฆ๐๐๐ถ๐ฒ ๐ ๐ฒ๐บ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ฒ celebrates and pays tribute to Yap and Suzieโs lasting contributions to the development of arts in Johor. Their pioneering work as founders and organisers of the JB Arts Festival, JB Jazz Fest, JB Classical Music Festival, JB Film Festival, and many other ground-breaking projects was fuelled by their boundless love for the arts, and they were particularly passionate about encouraging young people to take part in artistic endeavours and experiences as part of their personal growth.
The Yap and Suzie Memorial Prize is awarded to the most outstanding Johorean* from each of the Euroasia organised Competitions. All participants from Johor are automatically considered for the prize. The winners will be entitled to one (1) free Masterclass with a member of the masterclass panel from the respective competitions.
