Georgia Vale

Georgia Vale began her early musical studies at the Royal Northern College of Music & then Wells Cathedral School, followed by a performers’ course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she studied violin with Mark Knight, Yfrah Neaman and Jack Glickman, and piano with John York. After leaving college, Georgia took further studies with Simon Fischer and subsequently at the Utrecht School of the Arts, with Keiko Wataya.

Georgia has performed extensively both as a violinist and pianist, in the UK and abroad, taken part in many recordings, e.g. with the Dutch Radio Chamber Orchestra, and reached the finals of several national competitions, including the Royal Overseas League. She has taught privately and in schools for over 20 years and since 2005 has been Director of Chaddesley Strings and Junior Strings.

Georgia still performs in her local area of Worcestershire as an accompanist and violinist, also as a viola player with the Fiorini Quartet, and she is the author of the Hey Presto! series of books & music for string players. In addition she holds an MA in Chinese from Oxford University.
